Shady Canyon Golf Club is one of the finest private clubs in the country. We are honored to welcome guests of our Members and have provided the below information for your convenience. 

  • Dress Code
    • Members and their guests are expected to dress in a fashion consistent with the character and atmosphere of the Club setting. Specific policies regarding various areas of the Club, Golf Course, and Fitness Center are described below. The dress code standards of the Club may be changed or waived by Club management from time to time for special activities and functions.

      Main Clubhouse

      Ladies
      Skirts, slacks, sundresses and golf or Bermuda length shorts (no more than approximately 3” above the knee) are acceptable. Shirts may be golf fashion collarless or sleeveless. Cutoffs, halter-tops, workout attire, and swimwear are not permitted. Beach style flip-flops are not permitted in the Talon Dining Room.

      Blue denim is acceptable with the following restrictions: denim must be tasteful and in good repair; no holes, rips, tears, tatters, or frays; no acid washed denim, hand written messages, pictures or inappropriate messages; exposed undergarments and an exposed midriff are prohibited; no baggy or sagging slacks; no denim shorts of any kind. Acceptable denim: denim worn as slacks or Capri pants. Levis or Levis style slacks in good repair, jackets and shirts that are tasteful.

      Gentlemen
      Collared, turtleneck or mock turtleneck shirts, sweaters, slacks and golf or Bermuda length shorts (no more than approximately 3” above the knee) are acceptable. T-shirts, tank tops, workout attire, baggy cargo shorts and swimwear are not allowed. Beach style Flip-flops are not permitted in theTalon Dining Room. Gentlemen must remove hats in the Main Clubhouse. Jackets may be required for special events.

      Clubhouse Dining

      Appropriate Bermuda length shorts are permitted in the Talon Dining Room and Talon Bar during lunch hours. During evening dining, Bermuda shorts are not permitted in the Talon Dining Room, but are permitted in the Talon Bar. Children under the age of 12 are excluded from this regulation and may wear appropriate shorts in the Dining Room during all hours of Club operation. Beach Style flip-flops are not permitted in the Talon Dining Room at any time.

      Golf

      Proper attire and footwear are required on the Golf Course and the Practice Facilities at all times. Members are responsible to ensure that their guests adhere to these policies.

      Ladies
      Skirts, slacks, sundresses and golf or Bermuda length shorts (no more than approximately 3” above the knee) are acceptable. Shirts may be golf fashion collarless or sleeveless. Blue denim of any kind is not permitted on the Golf Course and or any Practice Facility. Cutoffs, halter-tops, workout attire, baggy cargo shorts, and swimwear are not permitted. Beach style flip-flops are not permitted on the Golf Course.

      Gentlemen
      Collared, turtleneck or mock turtleneck shirts (must be tucked in at all times), sweaters, slacks, golf, tailored cargo shorts and Bermuda length shorts (no more than approximately 3” above the knee) are acceptable. Baggy Cargo shorts or Blue denim of any kind are not permitted on the Golf Course and or any Practice Facility. T-shirts, tank tops, workout attire and swimwear are not allowed. Beach style flip-flops are not permitted on the Golf Course. All Members and guests must wear golf shoes without metal spikes. Children must abide by the above-mentioned dress policies, except that children under the age of 14 may wear tennis shoes on the golf course and practice facilities.

      Wellness Center

      Our Spa and Fitness Center dress code is designed to maintain an appropriate atmosphere in keeping with the quality of the Club. Proper athletic attire must be worn at all times including shoes, shirts, shorts, or warm-ups. Street clothing, swimwear and cut-offs are not permitted in the workout areas. Tank-top styles must have high cut armholes — muscle shirts are not permitted. The midriff must be covered at all times in the Fitness Center. All spandex/lycra tights must be at least as long as mid-thigh or be covered by another loose fitting bottom. Thongs are not permitted. Denim is permitted as previously noted. Athletic style shoes are required in designated workout areas.

  • Cell Phone and Personal Electronic Devices Policy
    • Cellular telephones and PED’s can be a distraction and an interruption of the Members’ quiet enjoyment of the Club facilities. Cell phones and other electronic devices should be in silent ring mode while in all areas of the Main Clubhouse and Wellness Center. Please excuse yourself and take your call outdoors or in an area where others will not be disturbed.

      Discretion should be observed when using cellular telephones on the Golf Course or Driving Range so as not to disturb or interrupt the play of fellow golfers. All cellular telephones used on the Golf Course must be in the silent ring mode at all times. No audible ring is permitted. Music may not be played on the Golf Course or on the Practice Facilities.

  • Gratuity Policy
    • Shady Canyon Golf Club has a no tipping policy for all staff except where a fixed gratuity is automatically included. Caddies are independent contractors and as such may accept gratuity.
